EpicCare Link
EpicCare Link is Epic’s web-based application for connecting organizations to their community affiliates. It provides community users secure access to select patient information in CHI Health’s Epic data repository.
EpicCare Link is not an EMR solution. It is a read-only application with some service-oriented features which are configured to facilitate patient care with community practices.
Examples of community users include people outside of CHI Health who might need to review the clinical and administrative information of patients seen at our organization. Affiliate clinical staff, billers, long-term care facilities, and correctional facilities are examples of EpicCare Link users.
However, if applications are incomplete, have incorrect information, or are missing signatures this will delay processing.

- Initial Agreement - Required to request access for any users
- Site Administrator - At least one is required for each site; responsible to approve requests, distribute credentials, and reset passwords
- End Users - Required to gain access to EpicCare Link (cannot be completed until prior two steps are submitted)
- Provider Update - add or remove providers
- User Change/Termination
- Master Agreement for New Locations
